today i rehomed the sunflowers from the aquaponics setup into the pea bed, i hope they co-operate nicely together in their little home. they look like happy little seedlings. fingers crossed they will grow to be huge blue peter style giants.
This blog is dedicated to continuation of the project, 'seedgreenaid', a project based on guerrilla gardening, regeneration, and caring about community.
I am interested in the way that simple actions can stimulate new understanding and insight. I am exploring ways to raise awareness of the potential of growing food, particularly in urban environments, to a mass audience through practical action. The opportunity to grow your own food is an important freedom that is simply not available for many people, as a result of urban environments. Freedom starts when we reclaim our public land and reconnect to our natural world.
As part of this practical action 'seedgreenaid' is a DIY seed bomb kit, consisting of 3 biodegradable envelopes made with seeded paper. One holds soil, one holds seeds, and one houses the kit. The instructions are all written inside.
I designed Seedgreenaids to encourage and help people regenerate their environment by secretly dropping them in various public places during their day-to-day routine.
Grow food everywhere and be free.
